Between National and International: Women's Transnational Activism in Twentieth-Century Chile

Abstract This article explores the transnational dimension of women's mobilization in twentieth-century Chile and connections they established with international non-governmental organizations, particularly Women's International League for Peace Freedom (WILPF) Democratic Federation (WIDF). It sheds light on political choices women made when forging alliances to expand make their activism more effective, together material ideological dynamics that shaped collaboration.
